The successful candidate will ideally be ACCA/ CIMA/ACA Qualified (or equivalent) and have experience as a Financial Controller working in a Manufacturing environment. Warner Recruitment are super excited to be working with a local friendly well established and growing business in Kettering Northamptonshire.  

Financial Controller – Permanent – Kettering duties include:
  • Responsible for the day to day running of the finance function
  • Managing 4 direct reports
  • Reporting directly to the Finance Director
  • Taking responsibility for month end reporting
  • Ensure Balance Sheet reconciliations are updated and correct
  • Maintain and develop monthly reporting tools
  • Conduct regular review meetings with the Commercial and Operational departments
  • Support annual budget and forecasting processes
  • Management and development of the team
  • Ensure processes and controls are in place in the finance department
  • Managing the stock control processes
  • Analysing costs and making suggestions based on your findings
  • Review the functionality of the system to drive improvements in reports
  • Development of automated processes and job cost accuracy
  • Annual audit
  • Manage the banking relationships
  • Finance lead on key business projects
  • Review and improve the BI reporting tool
  • Oversee the VAT Return process
  • Cash reporting and foreign exchange exposure
  • Capex/Investment Appraisals
  • Support the Finance Director as and when required
  • ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA Qualified (or equivalent)
  • Ideally have experience as a Financial Controller
  • Experience of working in a Manufacturing/ distribution business
  • Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written skills
  • Advanced/expert Excel skills would be advantageous
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
