Warner Recruitment are super excited to be working with one of our all-time favourite clients to recruit for an Administrator to support in the Payroll department.  The organisation are a well-established, local and growing business based in lovely, newly refurbished offices in Northampton.  Our client are currently extremely busy due to their links with the logistics industry and their products being on high demand particularly over the past 2 year.  We are so lucky to be working with this business to recruit for a newly created Payroll Administration vacancy into their team of 6 on a temporary to potential permanent basis.
The team are fun, friendly, welcoming and hardworking and are so excited about gaining the extra support from this role.

Trainee Payroll Administrator Duties include:

  • Inputting new starters onto the system

  • Processing leavers

  • Allocating P45 details onto the system for new starters

  • Generating P45’s for leavers

  • Dealing with inbound payroll queries from employees

  • Resolving payroll queries to ensure staff are paid accurately and on time

  • Inputting employee working hours onto the system

  • Ensuring hours submitted by employees have been signed off by their manager

The person, to be successful in this role you must be:

  • Hard working

  • Happy to help others with whatever is needed to get the job done

  • Flexible

  • Happy to work overtime during busy periods

  • Friendly

  • Good customer service ability

  • Proven ability to be accurate

  • If you are studying towards an ATT (or an equivalent accounting qualification) this will be advantageous but not a necessity

Salary £18,000 - £23,000
